Best duck my partner and I have ever had, though all elements of our meal were exquisite. Service and ambience were also unmatched. I have no notes, will certainly be coming back.
The Mog Champ sends his regards. Came to Cutler for a special occasion and enjoyed every dish on their menu, the duck and eye fillet was the biggest highlight. It's hard to choose between those two because it was simply amazing. Service was friendly, professional and quick! They offered us a booth that opened up which allowed us to soak in the Cutler vibe more, having a view of the open kitchen was quite fun to watch. Thank you for the dinner, Cutler! Went to Cutler with my girlfriend on our first night in Melbourne (brief holiday pre-Christmas). We had an absolutely lovely time. We arrived 15 minutes early, and got directed to the kitchen bar to wait while they set our table. The hostess had an inviting energy and helped set the mood for the evening. After moving to our table we were quickly served and drinks arrived quickly. White bait sandwiches, fried with herbs and a mayonnaise on white sandwich bread. Simple and delicious, could eat 12 of them happily. The asparagus was fresh and paired well with the mozzarella (still getting great asparagus this time of year??). Mains came out all together, we got the duck crown with rainbow chard and pickled cherries (10/10). The fillet steak with foie gras and truffled spinach (9/10, not the hugest fan of truffle). Sides were great, you canโt miss the vodka sauce rigatone. The dessert was perhaps the star of the show, we had the custard and rhubarb tart with yogurt ice cream. Designed to share, yet wish we had gotten two of them. Service was lovely from all parties and the chefs did a fantastic job on the food. Would be silly to not come here again.
Superb high end dining ! Wonderful atmosphere , friendly knowledgeable service and the food was absolutely devine ! As a group of 6 including a celiac we had a great corner table - although the restaurant was full we could talk and the quality of the food was quite exceptional. We shared a great selection of GF entrees - all superb but the prawns took the top vote . Mains - Duck to share and whiting were fantastic ( best duck I have eaten and presentation top notch ) and house speciality the rhubarb milk pudding has to be ordered to share ! Enjoy / we really did . Plus the sommelier was exceptionally good and selection of wines terrific ! Fab fab fab ๐
A classic Andrew McConnell restaurant - great quality and consistent food. While the menu is never ground breaking, the consistency of quality and consistent execution is something to be marvelled We dined on the chefs menu which was very generous on portion sizing. Tuna entree was delicious, fresh and clean The main of steak could have had a much better sear. Pavlova for dessert you canโt go wrong. Service was lovely & wine list very good.
