I ordered the mango and Passionfruit celebration cake for my 70th birthday and I want to say that Brett and Jess have created a masterpiece ā¤ļø. It was delicious! It melted in your mouth and all the parts tied together beautifully. Thank you for an amazing gastronomical delight š
I had vegan chamomile oat milk tea today! My original intention was to give some sweet treats to myself but nothing was appealing to me today. So I decided to order chamomile tea which is 3.5 dollars. I have never seen a place that offers oat milk when I order tea nor I have tried english style drinking before but I decided to do a little adventure. The chamomile milk tea tasted pretty interesting but also kind of tasty. But mostly, I found it lovely of how I was offered vegan milk and lovely service from them. (Also, The fact that they used 'they' pronoun for me when they were unsure!!!) Thank you so much š I will come back!
Excellent tasting and beautifull presented vegan pastries and chocolates. Just gorgeous. Thank you GSP team,bBrett, Jess and your fabulous back of house team. Love your work!
Chef Brett and Wayne Duncan at this small unassuming pastry shop are making some of the best vegan and gluten free desserts I have ever had. It was well worth the trip to the far side of the CBD. On their recommendation, I tried their Black Forest mousse. It was fantastic- light, layered and just sweet enough. I took a friend to Red Sparrow just to taste their some of their other desserts. We had the chocolate caramel mousse tart and the coffee opera cake. Both were good. Although, I would have preferred the tart to have more dark chocolate and more caramel at the base. The biscuit base was perfect in terms of texture. While the flavor of the opera cake was spot on, the sponge layers had dried out (possibly from being in the fridge). Additionally, Jeanette, an artisanal chocolatier also makes and sells unique vegan chocolate at their shop as well! Picked up a few after trying some free samples. Highly recommended. Would visit again next time Iām in Melbourne.
When I return to Melbourne, I am ordering a large tray of the minis - for myself. Friendly staff and great desserts. I recommend considering Gingersnap for any party or function. Photo is after taking a bite. If I photograph something *before* eating it, that is not a good sign.
